8.0 Good

At first glance the Bibo2 Touch looks too good to be true. Dual extruders, durable aluminum casing, and even a laser for under $1,000? We understand your skepticism. Before you write this 3D printer off as a cheap Ultimaker2 knockoff, though, give us a chance to change your mind with today's Bibo2 Touch review.

Bibo2 Touch 3D Printer with Laser Engraver Review Basics

The Bibo2 isn’t just a pretty face. The specs of this machine are also impressive, starting with the dual direct drive extruders, complete with dual cooling fans. These extruders can print at resolutions between 100-500 microns, and can even print overhangs up to 70°!

Print speeds are respectable, but in order to take advantage of sharper angles or .02mm accuracy, this machine should be set around 80mm/s. Print space isn’t exactly generous either at 8.4”x7.3”x6.3”, but the machine itself is modestly sized to fit almost anywhere at 18.4”x14”x14.7”.

This printer automatically shuts off if you run out of filament. It also includes a feature to resume printing after abrupt power outages. Anyone who’s ever lost a print to these problems knows how valuable these two features are.

Bibo2 Touch 3D Printer with Laser Engraver Review Pros

Ultimate Versatility

Versatility in a 3D printer can mean a lot of things, and the Bibo2 Touch excels at them all. First, the nozzles heat up to 270°C unmodified. Combined with the heated glass printing bed, you can print with almost any 1.75mm filament, including nylon, PETG, HIPS, and even some polycarbonates.

Dual extrusion allows you to print in two tones or with support filaments. You may also make simultaneous copies, cutting your printing time in half. If you want a change of pace, try out the laser engraver for homemade engravings on wood or cardboard. Wood engravings are as precise and clean as the 3D prints made from this machine.

Finally, the Bibo2 Touch gives you plenty of great connectivity options. Connect through WiFi, standard SD card, or USB. This printer works with Windows, Mac, or even Linux, and is compatible with all popular slicers.

Excellent Customer Service

No 3D printer is perfect, and you’ll probably need to contact customer service at least once no matter which one you choose. Bibo sets the standard with quick, friendly, and helpful troubleshooting whether you contact them by phone or email.

This is one of those companies that will send out a new part for free, or will stay on the phone with you for hours until your problem is fixed. The company even includes extras like a glue stick and SD card in the box, proving they care more about customer experience than the bottom line.

Bibo2 Touch 3D Printer with Laser Engraver Review Cons

Ships from China

The fact that this 3D printer is from China is not the problem. Not all Chinese goods are untrustworthy, and the Bibo company has a longstanding reputation for quality 2D and 3D printers.

The problem is that if you are in the US, the package has a long way to go. 3D printers are fairly fragile, and long shipping trips have a tendency to knock pieces out of place. Some light assembly is required for this 3D printer to help limit damage during shipping. It’s not ready to print out of the box, but anyone with a screwdriver and half an hour can figure it out.

Bibo2 Touch 3D Printer with Laser Engraver Review Verdict

Considering all its features, the Bibo2 Touch is one of the best values of all the 3D printers we’ve tested. For less than a thousand dollars you can enjoy unrivaled versatility, durable aluminum construction, modern conveniences like a 3.5” color touchscreen, and even a laser engraver. The Bibo2 Touch could cost twice what it does, but this company appears more interested in quality over profit.

Whether you’re brand new to 3D printing or if you’re an experienced veteran, this is an exceptional 3D printer that deserves your consideration.
